The Alabama Democratic Party is accepting applications to fill a vacancy in the Alabama State House created by the passing of Rep. Thad McClammy (D). House of Representatives District 76 is located in Montgomery County.
The special primary election is set for Tuesday, November 16, 2021; the special primary runoff, if necessary, for Tuesday, December 14, 2021; and the special general election for Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Any resident of State House District 76 may complete a form and apply in person, by mail, or online. The prorated application fee is $215.15. Please call the Democratic Party office at (334) 262-2221 to verify residency and to request additional information.
All papers, including the fee, must be received by 5 pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Candidates may hand-deliver paperwork to the Alabama Democratic Party Office, 501 Adams Ave, Montgomery, AL 36104, or mail to the Alabama Democratic Party, P.O. Box 950, Montgomery, AL 36101.
