We have received a number of inquiries from County Democratic Parties around the state regarding whether to hold or cancel County Committee Meetings, fundraisers, events, etc.
At this time, and until further notice, we are cancelling all events sponsored by the State Democratic Party and will be waiving the monthly meeting requirement for County Democratic Executive Committees.
The Alabama Democratic Party Headquarters will remain open, however.
In addition to using your own good judgement and taking practical precautions, we ask that everyone seek out and follow the professional advice of your local, state, and federal health officials.
To be clear, your health and safety and that of your family and all of the citizens of Alabama is the most important consideration and far outweighs any DNC, SDEC, or County Committee meeting requirements.
