2020 Delegate Selection Plan Approved by DNC

DNC Approves the Alabama Democratic Party’s 2020 Delegate Selection Plan

The Democratic National Committee has approved the Alabama Democratic Party’s 2020 Delegate Selection Plan (DSP) to send delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, July 13-16, 2020.

The Alabama Democratic Party is committed to doing everything we can to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and well-being of Alabamians. The DNC has approved changes to our Plan including the immediate postponement of the state committee meeting by ten weeks, now scheduled for June 6. This allows the ADP to complete the process within DNC parameters while lowering the risk of coronavirus transmission.

Alabama Democrats will send 52 pledged delegates to the national convention in Milwaukee. 34 were elected March 3 and 18 more will be selected June 6. Details available at aldemocrats.org.
