Last week, Republican State Rep. Andrew Sorrell wrote a letter to every Alabama Republican Congressman, Senator Shelby, and Senator-Elect Tommy Tuberville asking them to subvert American democracy by not certifying the electoral college votes on January 6th in the joint session of Congress.
So we're going to make sure everyone on Sorrell's list gets our open letter too:
"To Republican officials of Alabama:
We are asking you to stand up for democracy and recognize the voice of the people who elected Joe Biden to be the next President of the United States of America. After weeks of investigation, President Trump's team has provided ZERO evidence of vote tampering or any other practice that could have altered the results of the 2020 election.
We hope that you will have the strength and moral courage to stand up for what is right. To avoid baseless conspiracy theories and to honor the voice of the American people.
