- Dr. Letitia Plummer, Houston City Council Member At-Large Position 4, first African American Muslim elected to Houston City Council
- Imam Abdullah Daniel Hernandez, Centro Islamico, Pearland Islamic Center, one of the few Spanish speaking Imams in the United States
- Imam Tauqeer Shah, Director of Outreach and Interfaith at the Islamic Society of Greater Houston
