With Election Day less than two weeks away, it's up to everyone to ensure that we have everything in line before we go vote that straight Democratic ticket. Today is the absolute last day to register to vote. If you've put off registering yourself, or someone else, until today - head to your local library, board of registrars' office, or driver's licence office to fill out and submit a voter registration form. These forms are also available on the Alabama Secretary of State's website. REMEMBER: If you have moved or changed your name, you must re-register! We have too many good incumbent officeholders and candidates around the state to not ensure every Democrat is registered to vote.
If you're intending to vote absentee, the deadline for that application is Thursday, November 1st. These ballots must either be hand delivered or postmarked by Monday, November 5th.
I also encourage you all to contact your local county chair and sign-up as a poll watcher volunteer. We have no doubt the Alabama Republican Party will do everything they can to suppress our vote, so contact your county chair and help ensure a fair and honest election.
Should you have any questions, or need any guidance, please contact the Alabama Secretary of State's Voter Hotline at 1-800-274-8683, or call our office at (334) 262-2221.
Register to vote, or register a friend or family member TODAY. Too many have fought to ensure everyone's right to vote. Let us honor their legacy by registering and voting on November 6th!
Also, we're hosting an Election Night Watch Party here in Montgomery. Come join us and let's stand together as we watch our national, state, and local candidates cross the finish line on Tuesday, November 6th!
