Judge Kennedy and the staff of the Alabama Democrats would like to send their condolences to the family of Roy Hanner, our former Calhoun County Chairman, who passed away Monday evening after a long battle with cancer.
The visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the KL Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. The funeral will be held the Friday at 11 AM.
A longtime Calhoun County political activist, Mr. Hanner's daughter Lindsay followed in his footsteps and previously worked at the State Democratic Party Headquarters during the 2008 campaign.
Mr. Hanner is survived by his wife Cindy, daughters Lindsay and Victoria, his son Treye, and four grandchildren.
